Our client runs a high-end cafe in a historic European city center. The challenge was simple but tough: the street is narrow, foot traffic comes from both directions, and the local building codes are strict about anything mounted on the walls. They needed a sign that was visible but not "bulky."
Most suppliers just bolt two screens back-to-back, which ends up being 25-30cm thick—it looks like a heavy box hanging off a beautiful old wall. We didn't do that.
Ultra-Slim Engineering: We used a custom integrated frame to keep the total thickness to a minimum. It looks like a single "Digital Blade" rather than two screens stuck together.
Weight Distribution: Because the building is old, we couldn't just use standard expansion bolts. We customized a reinforced side-mounting bracket to ensure the 1x3m structure is secure without damaging the masonry.
Heat Dissipation: With two sets of LEDs generating heat in one slim cabinet, we used high-conductivity aluminum modules to ensure the screen stays cool in the summer without needing loud, vibrating fans.
The P3.91 Choice: At a 1-meter width, pedestrians are walking right next to the screen. We chose P3.91 to ensure that even at 2 meters, the text on the menu is sharp and doesn't look "pixelated."
Day & Night Performance: ≥5,500nits of brightness to fight the midday sun, but we programmed it with an automatic sensor. It dims down at night so it doesn’t blind passersby or violate local light pollution laws.
Real-World Protection: It’s fully IP65 rated. In this city, that means it’s built to handle everything from heavy winter rain to salt air.
The cafe no longer needs to manually change "A-frame" boards on the sidewalk. Whether people are walking toward the city square or away from it, they see the daily specials in high definition. The owner noted a significant uptick in "spontaneous walk-ins"—people who weren't planning to stop but were caught by the vibrant visuals.
